this is kinda my thesis that I have right now you can edit: This essay argues that despite the impacts on marine life and coastal vegetation, the Deepwater Horizon oil spill’s lasting ecological damage is primarily due to its effects on deep-sea ecosystems.
Attached is my previous annotated bibliography that you will have to use to craft this essay with all 7 of those sources and use at least one in text MLA citation for each.
I also attached the guidelines that have all this information as well.
For the interview requirement of the essay I have to find a panel on YouTube and use that as my “interview” here are some direct quotes from the video: here are some direct quotes from the panelists in the “Policy Implications of Deepwater Horizon” discussion: here is the link to the video so you can site it but don’t feel the need to watch:
- Dan Reicher mentioned, “We need to be thinking of a triangle of technology, policy, and finance if we’re going to build a cleaner energy future” .
- On the topic of renewable energy and its potential, Reicher also said, “There’s another country on this planet that really wants to own this market and is beating our pants off at this point, and that’s China” .
- Discussing the importance of government oversight, David Hayes stated, “Government oversight and regulation of dangerous activities matter, and we must invest and support it” .
- Highlighting the need for comprehensive environmental reviews, Meg Caldwell commented, “Baby steps would be just simply taking seriously environmental impact review because it really was meant to do a lot of what you’re talking about, to lay bare what the true costs are” .
- David Hayes also mentioned the importance of advancing renewable energy, saying, “We are, this fall, permitting 3,000 megawatts of solar power in the southwest” .
It also has to be 2000 words.
