Hi please view and carefully follow the following instructions given. I have also attached examples. The DEADLINE is April 30th, 2024.
Students will generate a pamphlet or double-sided flyer, giving health education about a specific disease. Students will be expected to describe the pathophysiology of the disease, discuss how it is diagnosed, provide social/environmental/genetic factors that increase risk, and provide strategies and resources for prevention and/or treatment.
To receive full credit, you must succinctly:
- Describe the symptoms of the disease (physical, psychiatric)
- Describe the causes of the disease (genetic, behavioral, etc.). Be sure to include the physiological cause.
- Describe the epidemiology: (Who is most at risk? How many people are impacted? Disease incidence/prevalence, etc.)
- Describe some preventative steps one could use to delay or avoid the disease/disorder.
- Describe some treatment options for individuals who already have the disease/disorder.
You must also:
- Use quality references. References (at least 5-10) must be submitted alongside of your assignment. You must include the in-text references on your product, but the bibliography should be submitted separately or as an extra page
- In-text citations should using MLA format
- Try to use at least 3 PRIMARY literature sources. This includes peer-reviewed papers. Government websites, etc are NOT primary literature sources.
- Include images or diagrams, to make your product look enticing. Try to make something that YOU would look at in a physician’s office. If you use a figure from another source, please cite the source.
- SUBMISSIONS MUST BE UPLOADED AS PDFs, PPT, etc. NO IMAGE FILES OR LINKS TO ONLINE SITES (such as Canva) WILL BE ACCEPTED. Online files most be downloaded as PDFs
