Political Help 10

Developing a Storyboard and Script for your candidate:

The task is to create a THIRTY (:30) second or SIXTY (:60) second television advertisement for your candidate. Each length has its own challenges, and you are free to try either or both. Develop a script and associated visuals using the Canva storyboard program as part of your submission. Ensure that your ad runs no more than the allotted :30 or :60 seconds. This is a challenging task. The time slot you purchase only runs thirty to sixty seconds. Anything longer than that gets cut off.

ALSO IMPORTANT NOTE: Remember to determine and include any legal disclosure requirements for the race you are working with. You will need to determine what the legal disclosure is for your race. Are there specific words that have to be said or shown on the screen? Does the candidate need to appear with any disclaimer? Is it a requirement that the candidate says those words, or can it just be a voice-over?

You may also use any other program that allows you to combine a series of pictures and words into a single “presentation.”

Along with your storyboard, write a short narrative explaining what the advertisement is intended to do, the targeted audience for the advertisement, and what research you used for these decisions.

Don’t stress about creating a professional quality storyboard – this is about concepts – a fully refined television ad is not needed. There are other programs available if you’d rather use a different platform, or you could even do a storyboard using PowerPoint or some other presentation software.
