As a primitive bacterial cell from an alien planet, I would carefully consider which organelles and cellular structures to purchase from Zork’s inventory to aid in evolving into a multicellular organism like those found on Earth.

– Nucleus (10 GS): Purchasing the nucleus would be crucial as it houses the cell’s DNA and controls cellular activities. This organelle would provide me with the ability to regulate gene expression, replication, and cellular division, essential for multicellular organization.

– Mitochondria (20 GS): Acquiring mitochondria would enable me to generate energy more efficiently through cellular respiration. This enhanced energy production would support more complex cellular functions needed for multicellularity.

-Golgi Apparatus (15 GS): The Golgi Apparatus is essential for modifying, sorting, and packaging proteins, crucial for communication between cells and the secretion of important molecules. This would facilitate intercellular interactions in a multicellular organism.

-Cell Junctions (20 GS): Investing in cell junctions would allow for cell-to-cell adhesion, communication, and structural support. This would be vital for forming tissues and organs in a multicellular organism.

By strategically choosing these organelles, I aim to evolve into a complex multicellular organism with specialized cells working together for the greater good of the organism. This combination of organelles would be essential for cell differentiation, cell signaling, energy production, and structural integrity, all vital aspects of multicellular life.

While eukaryotic organelles offer advanced functions that would be beneficial for multicellularity, upgrading bacterial organelles and structures could provide unique evolutionary advantages tailored to the alien planet’s environment and conditions.

I wouldn’t want to spend all my GSs, because I want to observe the effects of these purchased organelles on my cellular functions first before investing further. I might also want to save some GSs for future generations to adapt and evolve based on the outcomes of the initial changes, but I spent all my GSs for the initial simulation and went over.
