Nursing Health Promotion Presentation Guidelines On Child Abuse

DELIVERABLEs
1) APA Format reference page containing at least 4 references; one of which must be
Healthy People 2030 (health.gov), one of which may be ATI or Jarvis textbook, the
other two must be peer reviewed journals or reputable (usually but not always, .gov,
.edu, .org) websites.
PRESENTATION PLANNING
1. You will create a multi-media health promotion, prevention, or wellness
presentation (slide show)
2. Target audience is based on the community of focus (it may be adult, pediatric,
geriatric, etc.)
4. Students will present their health promotion topic in class.
5. The presentation should take 10 minutes (no less) – each student in the group
should have equal time to present, both partners must speak and work must be
divided evenly.
6. (include at beginning of slide and at end of slideshow before reference page) Prepare a 5-question pretest and 5-question posttest for students to complete. The pre and posttest should only take a
couple minutes.

Presentation will be evaluated on
a. Preparation and knowledge level of presenters
b. Inclusion of all elements
c. Easily understandable to the audience
d. Creativity in conveyance of message

PROJECT DESIGN
1. Students are encouraged to use creativity in presenting the topic.
2. The product must include (anywhere on the product):
a. Title of assigned topic
b. Names of Students(STUDENT A, STUDENT B Ill fill names in just make a spot please)
c. Date. Presentation must explain:
1) Background/ Problem in relation to Healthy People 2030 initiatives
2) Target population
3) Educational Intervention
4) Goal of Educational Intervention

For example:
Background: Childhood Obesity
Population: Nutrition education for school- aged kids
Education: USDA My Plate
Goal: Enabling school aged kids to make better nutritional choices
