You are excited because you have been selected, by your hospital, to be a part of a dynamic
interdisciplinary education team. This team has been put together to help newly hired healthcare
graduates gain greater knowledge about diseases affecting neonatal and pediatric populations. Your
team’s first task is to create videos for various disease processes. You have selected the disease you
wish to research and present.
The hospital’s leadership has asked that the videos be no less than 10 minutes but no longer than 20
minutes. These videos will be uploaded into the employee education portal and used as a part of the new
hire onboarding process. The follow standards have been set and must be met.
Etiology and pathology of the disease
Risk factors
Assessment, laboratory and imaging findings specific to the disease.
Treatment/therapies (include everything that can be used, even corrective surgeries)
What are the overall outcomes and quality of life.
You research should be evidence-based with peer reviewed articles and textbooks (≥3 sources).
Only creditable websites can be used to support your evidence. If you are unsure please ask (in
addition to the above).
Presented in a professional manner with proper medical terminology.
Make it engaging and a way to demonstrate your expertise on the subject of neonatal/pediatric population.
