Drawing on course material, pick a topic/theme that we cover in the course and write a blog post that applies theories and concepts (relevant to that topic/theme) to a particular case study/example in an urban context of your choice. (The Ghetto as Historical Reality and Political Myth)

The blog post should be academically rigorous and referenced appropriately, but it should also be written in an accessible style for a non-expert public audience. Guidance for production and submission will follow.

Your work will be assessed on the following criteria:

One 1500-word blog post

Convey academic knowledge in an accessible way, i.e. to a non-expert reader

Structure and communicate an argument in a concise format

Provide evidence of critical and independent thinking/interpretation

Support interpretations/arguments by using relevant evidence selectively (literatures, examples, data)

Utilize technology and web 2.0 tools (including hyperlinks, embedded images and videos etc) to support and augment the presentation of the blog post
