Discussion Week 8

In 3-5 paragraphs answer the following questions based on both the reading and the interview with Dr. Peri and comment on one of your classmates’ posts:

What could the diaries of people living through the siege of Leningrad tell you about the experience of the war that other sources could not? What were some of the limitations of these diaries as sources? Was the way that Professor Peri portrayed the siege different from the way that the Russian state television program at the end of the lecture portrayed it?
