Total Weight: 60% of Class Grade (Stage One =30%; Stage Two =30%)

Focus: This two-part, written assignment is designed to build an understanding of the values and opportunities for group approaches, challenges and methods to meet them, followed by a proposed plan for a group and discussion of the actual or anticipated beginning stage of development.

There are three ways to approach this paper, depending on your experience with groups in the field this year. The following list is in priority order for you to asses which category fits your situation:

  1. Focus on a group that you are planning to develop in this field placement, or have already begun working with at your current field placement. As part of this, plan and implement discussion(s) with your field instructor about this assignment.
  2. Focus on a group that you can imagine would be useful in your present think would be useful and feasible in your present field placement. As part of this, plan and implement discussion(s) with your field instructor about this assignment.
