Procedures: The student will complete:
- Research paper (3 pages minimum) maximum 4 pages
Students will be assigned a neuromuscular disease topic with a corresponding case scenario, specific to the topic, to assist them in integrating the knowledge gained regarding the disease process into treatment interventions. Students will analyze the case/diagnosis utilizing evidence-based research to assist them in the selection and support of appropriate interventions for their case study. The information will be compiled into a research paper for submission and completion of this assignment.

The conclusion must summarize all material as well as discuss how the research affects patient care in physical therapy.
Reference must support the efficacy of the interventions you selected as well as the information you report regarding the diagnosis and physiology of deficits.
Format of the Case Study Research Paper
- Follow rubric for format and references
- Be sure to include all of the references that you cite, including at least 1 source that gave you information about the diagnosis. A minimum of 2 peer-reviewed (scholarly) research articles and 1 book must be used and cited correctly to support information discussed/reported in the paper.
